The 2026 Kanawha County Schools College & Career Fair is scheduled for Monday, September 28th at the Walker Convocation Center on the campus of WV State University. All KCS HS Juniors (and Seniors who opt in) will visit the Fair during the school day between the hours of 9:00 am - 1:30 pm; parents and community members are invited to the Fair's evening session, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The College & Career Fair provides an outstanding opportunity for students and families to connect directly with representatives from nearly every college and university in West Virginia, as well as several top-tier institutions from across the country, including the University of Alabama, Columbia University, University of Kentucky, University of Notre Dame, Stanford University, Washington & Lee University, and many others. In addition to higher-education opportunities, the Fair will feature representatives from 40 of the region’s largest business and industry employers, giving students the chance to explore career pathways, employment opportunities, and the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Participating employers include CAMC, Dow WV, the FBI, Jarrett Construction, Suttle & Stalnaker Accounting, WV American Water, and many more. Whether students are exploring college, career, or both, the 2026 KCS College & Career Fair is an excellent opportunity to learn, make connections, and begin planning for life after high school
