Stephen Loftis -- Principal
I received my undergraduate degree from WVSU in 1999 and later earned a Master's degree in Communication in the Classroom from WVU, along with a Certificate in Educational Leadership from Salem International University. I am blessed with two wonderful children. My daughter, Dee Dee, was a standout softball player for WVSU and is now the mother of my beautiful granddaughter, Skylar Smith. My son, Stevie, was an All-State baseball player for Sissonville High School and an Eagle Scout. He is currently a student at WVSU working on his teaching degree. My beautiful wife Margaret and I enjoy camping, hiking, and trout fishing at our camp on the Williams River. We attend First Church of the Nazarene in South Charleston.
I began my administrative career at Riverside High School in February 2013 as an Administrative Assistant Principal, focusing on discipline. In October 2017, I became the Curriculum Assistant Principal. This year marks my first as the Principal of Riverside High School, and I am thrilled to embark on this journey with such a talented and dedicated staff. There will be many challenges ahead, but adversity has never deterred a Riverside Warrior! Let’s get to work!
